BACKGROUND
Clara is the youngest and only daughter born from the Thorne family. Growing up in Birmingham, she maintained a good relationship with her brother, Freddie, and eventually developed a friendship with her brother's close friends; the Shelby's, who then treated Clara and Freddie like members of their own family after their parents passed away.The Shelby's have been a vital part of their lives while growing up; with Ada being Clara's friend and Tommy being one of Freddie's close friends. Clara was also able to develop a mother-daughter like relationship with Polly Gray.She was also able to develop a very good relationship with the rest of the members of the Shelby family. Aside from her close friendship with Ada, Clara also considers both John and Arthur as brother's from another family.The family treated her like their own, except for one who seems to hate her more than anything in this world — Tommy.Growing up, Clara never had the best relationship with Tommy. She never knew the exact reason why but, they just don't seem to get along. As a result, they would often try to strangle each other, which they would have ended up actually doing if it weren't for John and Arthur stopping them.A few years later, 1915, in the height of World War I, Clara left Birmingham and sailed to New York, hoping to start a new life away from her brother who she has grown to dislike and from Tommy, who always manages to makes her life a living hell.While in New York, Clara managed to get a decent job as a writer for a famous publishing company in New York — which she used to gain enough money in preparation for her return to Birmingham.In 1922, following the death of her brother, Clara decided to return to Birmingham and leave the life that she has in New York to look after her nephew, Karl, and her now sister-in-law, Ada — whom she considers to be the only family she has except the Shelby's.Currently, Clara has proven herself to be a vital part of the Shelby Company Limited and the Shelby family itself.
PERSONALITY
Clara is a fierce woman who always fights for what she knows and thinks is right. She usually does what she wants and does not care about what other people think or say about her. She is short-tempered and will literally start an argument with whoever ruins her mood — usually with Tommy.Despite her "slightly" violent nature, Clara is a kind woman with a big heart, she is willing to give up her life for those she considers as her family and friends. Although she tries her best not to make it obvious.Clara is a skilled markswoman who will not hesitate to fire her gun at anyone who puts her in danger.
